Prenatal Personal Training

  • Congratulations! What an amazing time of your life. You'll want to do everything to keep your mind and body healthy as well as your growing baby inside you.
  • I am an accredited Specialist Pre- and Postnatal Personal Trainer. I can support you throughout your whole pregnancy and beyond. 
  • I will be importantly flexible and adaptable depending on how you're feeling.
  • I will help you feel more confident in yourself, your ability and your self-esteem. 
  • I can alleviate those baby fears and provide expert advice and bring evidence based medicine to demonstrate the benefits of Physical Activity in Pregnancy and beyond. 
  • If having children to look after is a barrier, I will even come and help you exercise at home with them!


Benefits of Physical Activity in pregnancy:

  • Decreased risk of pregnancy complications (eg pre-eclampsia, hypertension, diabetes in pregnancy) & associated neonatal complications
  • Improved mental wellbeing
  • Improved weight gain management 
  • Appropriate nutritional advice
  • Improves sleep
  • Safe and effective exercises, incorporating functional training preparing for carrying the baby
  • Possibly shorter first stage and improved tolerance of labour
  • Incorporating pelvic floor exercises - reducing risk of urinary / faecal incontinence or prolapse
  • Reassurance and support with cardiovascular and muscular strength exercising

Postnatal Personal Training & Group Classes

1-1 Postnatal Personal Training or Group Fitness Classes

Now that everything you see or do is about looking after your baby understandably. How about looking after YOU?


  • Being a Pre-and Postnatal Specialist Personal Trainer, I will help you get back to fitness safely after having your baby. 
  • Primarily you must be cleared for Physical Activity by your GP, at your routine 6-8 week check. 
  • Then you can either decide to have 1-1 personal training or join a group class
  • I will cover concerns, including diastasis recti, core & pelvic floor exercises.


  • Dedicated 'Mum and Baby' Strength Fitness Classes are held outside May-October, in Heavitree Pleasure Ground
  • Enjoy, not just the physical training, but in addition educational input from a knowledgeable Medical Professional, with important information that you can take away to perform your own exercise at home safely
  • Bring along your little ones and incorporate that social side into your fitness, further looking after your wellbeing.
  • Bringing those added Postnatal fitness benefits as described below.
